The West Virginia Roughriders took down the Cape Fear Heroes on Saturday Night 54-14 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville NC. The Roughriders defense came up large in the second half allowing no points while accruing 8 interceptions and 7 sacks throughout the game. The West Virginia Roughriders now move to 2-0 on the young season as they play host to the High Point Wildcats next Monday April 15th for Monday Night Football at the WesBanco Arena at 7pm.
The Wheeling Island Casino will sponsor a "Kick for Cash" contest @ Halftime giving one lucky fan a chance to kick a 38 yard field goal for $5,000!! Paree Insurance Centers will also sponsor a fan giveaway before the game as the first 2,500 fans will receive a Neon Green Roughriders Drink Coozie as a special thanks for coming out! The WesBanco Arena will be featuring $2 Beer specials during the first half of the game.
